Being a creative is hard enough without us falling into a world of generative AI - add that ontop of being outside of the media landscape and you have a recipe for making nothing.

You’ve heard of the starving artist, well imagine that + the cost of living + the cost of gear + a niche field.

Protest photography doesn’t pay, and with the state of media hoping to make a living off selling photos is unsustainable and almost impossible unless you’re already established within a media outlet. (Which I’m not, and thankfully, gives me full control over my work)

Every bit of money will help me continue to do this work with the freedoms not being tied to a media org where my work is at the whims of editors.
